Updating the previously submitted report, we communicate the approval of the following regulations, the publicity of which was announced yesterday.
By Decree No. 102/2020 dated March 23rd, 2020, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs implemented the closure of borders with Brazil, enabling only Uruguayan citizens and foreigners residing in Uruguay to enter the country. Persons who can demonstrate their border quality are exempt from this provision.
Through the Official Statemen No. 5/2020 dated March 23rd, 2020, the National Customs Directorate exceptionally authorized to submit, with the Unique Customs Declarations, photocopies of Certificates of Origin for imports covered by the AAP-AC regime of origin No. 58 (MERCOSUR-Peru Free Trade), until further notice.
Finally, and with regards to the tax field, the Lavalleja City Council ordered the extension of the payment of the tax on the real estate, rural, urban and sub-urban contribution, for May 4th, 2020.
